The Future Of Journalism

Media and journalism have been hugely affected by the Internet and the increased usage of online media outlets. Why buy a newspaper when you can get the information online for free?
Today it is necessary for a newspaper to have a website to compete in the market.
Many people say that print media could become obsolete. I agree that it is a possibility but I think currently we are far away from this point. Newspapers and magazines are more convenient to carry around than a laptop but now with "smartphone" devices such as the Iphone it is even easier to get information instantly any time you want it.
In the future magazines and newspapers could create easy to use Iphone friendly publications i.e. The New York Times. I think that these will become more and more prevalent. I think T.V. news is safe for the time being. Lots of people still watch the news everyday on T.V.
Radio news like NPR again probably going to be creating Iphone friendly interface. Live streams of radio shows.
It will be interesting to see whats going to happen. How news organizations will change the way they advertise and the way they attempt to gain consumers.
